Hairdressing Basics

Give yourself a head start with this introductory course.
Designed to develop basic skills and knowledge in hairdressing.
Topics include Tools of the trade, Hair maintenance, Colour application, Basic cutting and Styling techniques & Health and safety.
Classes conducted at Le Look Francais, Hairstyling & Tuition.

Course Objectives

Students will learn:
• salon duties, safe working practices and hygiene
• tools of the trade and their care
• basic shampoo, conditioning and styling products
• colour products and their choice
• colour application
• choice of styles and basic cutting
• basic styling

Teaching Strategies

• Lecture and practical demonstration and explanation
• Hands-on application by students under supervision

Hairdressing Basics - Intermediate

Designed to extend & reinforce your knowledge & confidence in basic hairdressing skills.
Topics include Blow Wave technique skills, Men & women basic Trims & Style cuts.
Classes conducted at Le Look Francais, Hairstyling & Tuition.

Course Objectives

Students will learn:
• Increase & Perfect Blow waving skills
• Apply more volume and shape in blow waves
• Create and develop basic cutting skills for men and women
• Create short and long layers in women’s haircuts
• Develop skills & knowledge to handle Clippers

Topics include: Colour Mixing preparation, Colour Correction, & applying blond or colour tips using foil techniques.

Course Objectives

Students will learn:

In this course you’ll learn how to create Trendy and formal hairstyles suitable for after 5 and that special occasion.

In this course, you’ll learn how to look after your nails professionally and save money!
Topics include: Health & Safety practices, Tools of the trade, Hands and feet Reflexology skills,
Manicure & Pedicure skills including French, Apply & design your own Nail art.
Classes conducted at Le Look Francais, Hairstyling & Tuition.

• How to recognize & cure nail diseases
• Hands and feet massage including Reflexology skills
• Step by step process to manicure
